Although amazingly popular in the US, the high cost of the Apple II range and poor early distribution in Europe meant that the machine had only limited success in the UK.

The Games

Lots of classics were written for the Apple II, many of which are still fondly remembered today. In fact, the first Wolfenstein game, father of Castle Wolfenstien, was written for the machine. Even though the Apple II’s Wolfenstein wasn’t a first person shooter, we’re still claiming it as the granddady of the Halo, Doom and Half-Life franchises. So there.
